Tennessee’s federal district courts
Middle District of Tennessee
The Middle District of Tennessee covers much of Middle Tennessee and is divided into the Nashville, Columbia, and Northeastern Divisions. Its primary courthouse is the Fred D. Thompson U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building in Nashville.
Eastern District of Tennessee
The Eastern District of Tennessee covers East Tennessee and portions of the southern part of the state, with federal courthouses in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Greeneville, and Winchester.
Western District of Tennessee
The Western District of Tennessee covers West Tennessee and has federal courthouses in Memphis and Jackson.
